Dear Reader:

(Please Scroll Down to read completely)

I am a classically trained Ph.D. clinical psychologist. "Classically trained" in this case means with a balance between applied principles and research skills. Three of my college degrees are in psychology (B.A., M.A., Ph.D.) I have been immersed in psychology and the study of human behavior since 1963 when I first became a psychology major in undergraduate school. I did my first clinical practicum (actually working with clients or patients, under supervision) in 1968 while getting my master's degree. I have worked and studied in the field ever since. That is a lot of time, training, and experience in the field.

. I like my work. It is very gratifying to see people become healthier, happier, and better adjusted to life as a result of my work.

I have been in private practice in the Kansas City, Missouri area (Independence and now Blue Springs) since 1983. I have a "general" practice and see cases of all kinds as well as doing consultations. My primary focus is on adults and their problems in adaptation to life.

(stress, work, psychosomatics (physical ailments related to stress and emotions) , anxiety, depression, marital problems, post traumatic issues, self-esteem problems, assertiveness training needs, mid-life adjustment identity issues, career issues, fears and phobias, workplace adaptation, critical incident stress debriefing needs, personal relations problems, etc., etc.).

I have no commitment to any particular treatment "school of thought" (analytic, rational/emotive/ behavioral, psychodynamic, etc.) and try to use whatever techniques and approaches best fit a given individual's treatment needs.

Even though my office is in the greater Kansas City area, I have clients who have come to see me from as far away as California, Texas, and New York, as well as neighboring states such as Nebraska, Kansas, and Arkansas. I have noticed that physical distance from my office does not keep people from coming when they find that my help is worth the travel. Most of my clients place a high value on privacy and like coming to my office because it is not in a medical building or a mental health center.

They feel comfortable coming and going from an unmarked, attractive, business building. (come by and see for yourself).

Think about it. Thought is the father of action. WILL YOU CALL ME TODAY? IF NOT, WHY NOT? DO YOU HAVE A TRULY RATIONAL REASON FOR NOT CALLING? ARE YOU FOOLING YOURSELF? Think carefully! CALL NOW AND SEE IF YOU AREN'T GLAD YOU DID!

I hope to meet and be of service to you or someone you send. Thank you for reading this and visiting the website.
